Cranny

Jo and I headed down to Cranbrook this past weekend to catch up with Kenny, Brenda and Al. There are several things that cant be avioded when we go to Cranbrook ,1) eating and drinking too much good food and wine, and 2) skiing or hiking some amazing mountains.
Below are some pics of the latter.

Into the snow

On sunday we got up at the crack of dawn and headed up to lake louise. The plan was to hike through larch valley, up over sential pass and back out paradise valley. The only thing in our way was the white fluffy stuff that had fallen that week.

Rock n' roll

Another long weekend and the plan was to hike The Rockwall, one of the premier backcountry trips in BC.
Day one took us up to Floe lake, over Numa pass and down to Numa Creek campsite.
Day two started rudely with a steep climb up Tumbling Pass, then down to Tumbling Creek and back up over Rockwall Pass.
Day three was a easy jaunt out from Helmet falls to the highway.
Below are a selection of photos from the weekend that sum up the trip nicely.
