Christmas #5 in Canada, and #4 in Cranbrook. Kenny and Brenda invited us back again this year (I dont know why, because we eat all their food and ski up all of their powder). We had a fantastic time at the Maudie's yet again, thanks so much.

Back to old faithful

So we have been to black prince every weekend for the past 3 weeks. 1st time was great (last post), second time was ok, 3rd time was also great. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

We were granted snow last week. Would have been rude not to ski it, so we went to Black Prince for a poke around.
I forgot the camera, so Paddy "rapid fire" Thompson lent me some of his photos. Not sure what his copyright policy is, but if he wants more than one beer a photo he's out of luck.

First tracks (for us)

Well.....its December, the Xmas tree is up, theres snow in the city, guess its time to go skiing.....

On the way up the shoulder of Observation Peak (after a nice bush wack).

Sun ring and forks. Apparently the ring is caused by ice crystals within cirrus clouds that refract the light causing the ring around the sun, or so scientists would have us believe.........

Hot tea to defrost the esophagus (esophagii plural?)
