When can we expect global warming? Saturday?

Its been fairly crisp back home. Really makes you appreciate central heating.
But it does make for some nice photos. All of these were taken at lake Sarah on the way to Arthurs Pass.

Kiaora from the other side

Im talking about NZ, not the afterlife in case you were confused.

So they let me back in, even with my shipment of maple syrup. My luggage did however take some different flights to myself. What exotic countries it traveled through I will never know.
Today, dad and I went for a drive towards lake Coleridge. Was a beautiful day to snap some pics and for dad to practice his whip cracking technique (aka fly fishing).

Pigeon Mt

After a sleep in and a big breakfast of pancakes with nutella, chased with several cups of coffee, we were ready to got hiking. We had been tipped off the night before that there were some good wildflowers on the medows of Pigeon Mt. We went to have a look for ourselves.

I dont know what it is but its not a pigeon.

Jo took some cool photos.

Back on the Blog

Yes, we still exist and no, we were not abducted by aliens. I had my candidacy exam and Jo had her diabetes educator exam. Academic adventures are generally not that interesting to write about, hence the lack of blog activity. But now all that is over with, we can get on with the good stuff. Heres some pics from our weekend camping in K-country.

A quick trip up Ha-Ling on saturday. Canmore below.

Sunday: With sore legs from the day before we decided to head up to the sparrowhawk tarns.

Up into the cirque.

The tarn was worth the hike. Not a day for a swim though.

Lunch at the tarn.

Playing around with the colours.
