Home Sweet Home
Jo's turn at the blog.... Just back from Aotearoa. I had a fantastic 2 weeks with my family and was able to make it to 2 weddings. It was like old-times with Mum, Dad, Megan and Scott. We don't fit in the car quite as comfortably as we used to but there are far less fights in the backseat.
The first weekend we were up in Blenheim to help celebrate the marriage of Mands and Greg. Are'nt they gorgeous?! It was a perfect day for them as they deserve. The Matua winery is practically over the fence from their new home. Congratulations!
These are some of the lovely ladies I spent my days with at Waitaki Girls High and many saturday nights with in Johnny Boles basement followed by the Oamaru Night Club. Stace, Mands, Deb and Kylie. We missed you Lee-anne and Jo P.
Following the wedding the whole fam headed over the hill to the Marlborough Sounds where we spent 3 days running (well, 2 days running, we were a little seized up by the 3rd) the Queen Charlotte Track - all 71km! It was a so much fun. It helped that the boat carried our bags each day and we had great beds and yummy food each day. Looking fresh here at Furneaux Lodge after about 12km and an iced coffee. Poor Mum thought the green grass looked so good to walk on and got a bee-sting.
My wee bro isn't so wee anymore. Scott did so well considering he has not done much running. Luckily I had an "altitude advantage" otherwise I would have struggled to keep up with those long legs. He has returned to Calgary with me!
Karl will be back with some Well's Gray pics soon and I will find some from Lisa's wedding.
